Ihre Missionen

EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) is a subsidiary of Edvance, which is a joint venture between EDF and Framatome, established in 2018 in charge of the design and the realisation of nuclear islands for new projects in France and worldwide.
In particular, EDF EPR Engineering UK is responsible for the design and support to construction for the Hinkley Point C (HPC) project, but also for the Sizewell C project (SZC). EDF EPR Engineering UK works closely with EDVANCE and CNEPE in France, where the design of the EPR for HPC was initially developed and where some activities for HPC project still remains (i.e., safety, I&C).

On their side, EDVANCE and CNEPE are responsible of the design of the EPR2 and EPR1200, optimized EPR model incorporating the feedback from the ongoing EPR projects.

As part of the Responsible Designer for the Hinkley Point C EPR project, EDF EPR Engineering UK covers the whole scope of the plants the Balance of Nuclear Island (BNI) and the Conventional Island (CI) and Balance of Plant (BoP). EDVANCE still provides Engineering Design support for the Balance of Nuclear Island (BNI). CNEPE delivers similar works for the Conventional Island (CI) and Balance of Plant (BoP).
For the HPC project, we are currently looking to recruit for the role of Equipment Engineer.

The mission will aim to support the construction of the two EPR on HPC by:
Answering to requests coming from building and erection contractors on equipment discipline by:

  • Gathering all needed input for the answer,
Producing technical assessment and solution, with supporting justification,
  • Liaising with design back-offices or execution designer when needed,
  • Assessing and listing the impacts of the site change on the equipment design,
  • Opening the dedicated change process to launch the implementation of the impacts

Reporting to the Equipment Discipline Lead achievements, progresses and difficulties and raising alerts on any aspects of the design when identified,

Contributing to the closure of design open points after the delivery of design packages to site,

Being part of JDO Equipment team, participating to Team meetings, sharing technical topics,

Contributing to build OPEX for other projects (SZC or EPR2),

Contributing to continuous improvement of the team.

In a near future, the Equipment Engineer will be the entry point in JDO side for some contracts and equipment (to be defined) and will be responsible to interface with all the stakeholders.

Positions following that of JDO Equipment Engineer can be in a wide range of nuclear engineering professions:
JDO Layout or Piping or HVAC Engineer
CMT erection engineer
Team Lead
Technical referent or development of a career in expertise

The post is restricted due to the nature of the role and the export control regulations which apply. All applicants will be subject to national security and export control vetting processes
